Professor Rami Al-Yakim is a
leading expert in gastrointestinal nad liver diseases and has won
many awards that related to liver disease research and has more than 20 years
of professional experience. Professor El-Yakim participated in the development
of modern endoscopy techniques for the esophagus and colorectal treatment using
a radio-controlled capsule. Prof. Yacem obtained his degree in medicine from
the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and then conducted a practical training in
internal medicine, digestive and liver diseases at the Hadassah-Jerusalem
Hospital. Currently, Professor Yakim is heading the Internal Medicine and
Gastroenterology Department at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Aviv. He is a member
of several local and international organizations.
