Dr. Kakiashvili has a strong research interest in urologic cancer and assessment of new surgical technologies. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and is a recipient of several international awards in the area of cancer research.
Dr. Kakiashvili is a mentor in the field of robotic surgery. He serves as an invited speaker and performs live robotic surgeries at high profile international meetings. In 2012 he was named "The man of the year in medicine" by Radio Haifa, Israel.
He speaks fluent Hebrew, English, Russian and Georgian
