Biography

Professor Glazerman is a leading physician in obstetrics and gynecology and a leading physician in the field of Gender science. He has held several managerial positions during his career, where he headed the Center for Medical Research in Gender at Rabin Medical Center, headed the Helen Schneider Women's Hospital at Rabin Medical Center and is currently the head of the obstetrics and gynecology department at the same medical center. He studied medicine, psychology and philosophy at the Goethe University in Frankfurt- Germany, continued his medical studies at the University of Paris and completed his studies in medicine at the University of Goethe. Prof. Glazerman conducted his postgraduate studies at Tel Aviv University, and has held fellowships and specializations in Israel, Germany, Spain, Canada and the United States in various fields. After founding the Women's Oncology Unit at Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba and headed it, he worked for 8 years as head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. He then managed the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon and from 2005 until his retirement he was Head of Gynecology and Obstetrics Departments Belinson Hospital, Hasharon Hospital and Deputy Director of Rabin Medical Center. He has worked as Director of the Center for Gender Medicine Research at Rabin Medical Center until 2014. He served for fourteen years as Chairman of the National Obstetrics and Gynecology Steering Committee at Maccabi Health Services. In 2010, Golzerman received the Athens Prize from the Gender Medicine Foundation for "Leadership in the Science of gender Medicine.
