Dr. Zvi Gutmacher is the Director of the Maxillofacial Rehabilitation Department and the Temporomandibular Joint Diseases Unit at Rambam Health Care Campus. Dr. Gutmacher completed his prosthodontic training cum laude at Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, Hebrew University in Jerusalem and became board certified in Israel, he was also certified in Maxillofacial Rehabilitation. His activities in the hospital include treatment of patients who undergo extensive head and neck resections as a result of malignancies and other tumors, and maxillofacial reconstruction of patients with congenital malformations or after trauma. Special emphasis is geared towards dental and surrounding tissues aesthetics and functionality. Dr. Gutmacher founded the first Maxillofacial Rehabilitation postgraduate program in Israel, at Rambam.
